Doodles of NC Sponsors Young Life Golf Tournament

Giving back to the local community stays a passion for the expanding

BURLINGTON, N.C. - Doodles of NC, a top North Carolina Goldendoodle breeder, sponsored a hole in the 2016 Annual Alamance County Young Life Golf Tournament. An event that brings in a sizable portion of Young Life’s annual fund, sponsorship played a major part in reducing costs of hosting such an event.

“Finding ways to give back to the local community has been on our hearts,” commented John Paul Ruppe IV, Owner of Doodles of NC. “Knowing how Young Life brings hope into the lives of young people by building meaningful relationships made it a perfect fit. Although the bond formed between our puppies and their owners is priceless, the most lasting, important relationship to build is one with our heavenly father.”

Young Life is a multicultural ministry, focused on kids in diverse cultural communities and those in economically-depressed areas. Arguably the largest of its kind in the United States, the ministry reaches teenagers nationwide. Alamance YL is present in four of the county high schools, on the campus of Elon University, and in one area middle school.

The event, hosted at Mill Creek Golf Course in Mebane, brought in sizable funds for the youth ministry organization. Over 25 golfers participated on the sunny Saturday morning in early November. Golfers were grouped in teams and played 18 holes in the best ball, scramble-style tournament.

“We hope Doodles of NC’s sponsorship made sharing the good news with more teenagers possible this school year,” said Erin Ruppe, Owner of Doodle of NC. “We look forward to sponsoring the Young Life tournament again next year as well as supporting other local organizations throughout the coming months.”
